Kia Ora ,
I am a fully qualified and registered kaiako in Aotearoa with a strong passion for early childhood education. Originally from Delhi, India, I hold a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Delhi, a Level 7 Graduate Diploma in Business (Digital Marketing) and a Level 7 Graduate Diploma in Teaching (Early Childhood Education) completed in New Zealand.
My teaching philosophy is guided by Te Whāriki, where I view early childhood settings as inclusive spaces that support children’s freedom to explore, make choices, and learn at their own pace within a safe, nurturing environment. As a kaiako, I value respectful and responsive relationships that foster children’s wellbeing, curiosity, independence, and confidence.
I am committed to upholding Te Tiriti o Waitangi and embedding bicultural practice within my teaching. I acknowledge Māori as tangata whenua and intentionally incorporate Te ao Māori through the use of Te reo Māori, waiata, and karakia. My practice aligns with the Teaching Council Standards, with a strong emphasis on ethical practice, inclusion, meaningful partnerships with whānau, and on-going professional learning.
Ngā mihi,
Meenakshi Arora
