At Nature’s Point, we joyfully celebrated Samoan Language Day, embracing the rich culture and traditions of Samoa. We learned basic Samoan greetings such as “Talofa” (hello), “Faafetai” (thank you), “Fa’amolemole” (please), “Tofa” (goodbye), and “Afio mai” (welcome). We also explored the beauty of Samoan floral prints, learning how they reflect the island’s vibrant nature and heritage.
The celebration was filled with delicious Samoan food that everyone enjoyed together. The aroma of traditional dishes added a warm and festive feel to the event. We danced to energetic Samoan music, trying out traditional movements and rhythms that brought smiles and laughter all around.
The day was both educational and fun, helping us appreciate the beauty of the Samoan language and culture. It was a meaningful way to come together and celebrate diversity in our community. Fa’afetai lava to everyone who joined in!
