Kia ora, I’m Milyn V. Onipig
Originally from the Philippines, I am a passionate and dedicated early childhood teacher now working in beautiful Aotearoa New Zealand. With a heart for nurturing young minds, I am committed to creating a warm, inclusive, and engaging environment where every child feels safe, respected, and empowered to explore the world around them. My approach to teaching is grounded in deep respect for each child’s identity, culture, and voice. I see children as competent and confident learners who thrive when given opportunities to learn through play and meaningful experiences.
Guided by the principles of Te Whāriki, New Zealand’s Early Childhood Curriculum, I support holistic, play-based learning that encourages curiosity, creativity, and connection. I strive to build strong, trusting relationships with both tamariki and their whānau, recognising the vital role of family and community in a child’s learning journey.
